Feb. 1, 2010 - Please note - If you go to the doctor today you may have difficulty.  There is a delay in getting all our members logged into Empire's system.  LHH, Human Resources said the problems should be fixed today or tomorrow. If you pay for your visit, we were told that since you are technically covered as of today, you will be reimbursed. The Hospital is changing insurance carriers from Oxford to Empire effective February 1, 2010. The plan design and level of coverage will remain the same for 2010. NYPNU members will receive their benefit cards in the middle of February. Until you receive the card, give your Doctor your Social Security #. Your Physician’s office will be able to confirm coverage on the empire system.
