HIPPA

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) of 1996 -  HIPPA is a federal law.  The Lenox Hill Hospital Standards of conduct define "unauthorized possession, disclosure or other use of Lenox Hill Hospital patient, financial or other confidential documents or electronic materials or information" to be an infraction that may result in immediate termination of your employment. 

Do not access any patient's records unless you are authorized to do so.
