Welcome Jennifer Charles, NYPNU's New Treasurer

On behalf of NYPNU's officers, Executive Board and Delegates, and staff, it is with great pleasure I announce the recent installation of our new Treasurer, Jennifer Charles.

Jennifer has been a nurse at Lenox Hill Hospital for 31 years and has spent half that time working in the med/surg ICUs and currently works in the PACU. 

Jennifer started representing the membership as a delegate in 2017 and recently was elected onto the Executive Board.

We Salute Nancy Ward for her Decades of Service

Nancy Ward (formerly a Pediatric and PRT RN) recently decided to retire from her duties as Treasurer. Per our By-Laws, Jennifer put her name in for consideration to become NYPNU's next Treasurer and the Delegate body voted her in.

Nancy was one of the champions and builders of NYPNU right from the beginning. We can't thank her enough for her nearly 40 years of service and dedication to the union's growth and all her work to help us prosper. And though Nancy has certainly earned every right to enjoy her retirement spending it bird watching and taking  professional quality pictures of wildlife, once a NYPNU nurse, always a NYPNU nurse. Nancy will continue to be active in support of the union in an informal capacity and be an ongoing resource to Jennifer. 

This is yet another wonderful, exciting, new chapter in NYPNU's illustrious history.
